Web design for
small businesses in
Southern California

True Atlas builds fast, carefully structured websites for mom-and-pop shops, personal brands, and local service businesses. Clear direction, a price fixed before we start, and a site you can edit yourself.

Fixed price

Quoted in writing before we start. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices.

Four weeks

Typical time from kickoff call to a live website.

Search-ready

On-page SEO and your Google Business Profile set up before launch.

You own it

Your code, your domain, your hosting account. No lock-in.

What we do

Every great journey starts
with a map

From strategy through launch, we work alongside small businesses to build a digital presence that is clear, credible, and built for growth. No bloat, no noise — just work that earns trust.

Strategy

Before a single pixel is placed, we map the terrain. We learn your business, your customers, and the words they actually use — then set a direction every later decision can be measured against.

Web Design

Layouts and visual identity built with intention. Clean, considered, and never generic, so your business looks like itself rather than a template three competitors are also using.

Web Development

Built on WordPress with Elementor and configured properly — fast, mobile-tested, accessible, and lean. You get a site you can update yourself, without waiting on anyone.

Our Promise

Nothing about this should feel risky

You are a small business hiring a small studio. Both of us need this to be straightforward, so the terms are settled before any work begins.

One fixed price

You get a written quote covering the entire project. If the scope does not change, the price does not either.

A date, not a maybe

We agree a launch date at kickoff and build to it. Most projects run four weeks from first call to live.

Revisions included

Three rounds of revisions come with every project rather than as an upsell. We would rather get it right than get it signed off.

What you get

What's included in every project

Everything below is part of the base project. No tiers, no modules, no add-ons that turn out to be essential.

A site built to spec

Every page designed and built for your business, not adapted from a stock theme.

Mobile layouts

Designed for phones first, because that is where most of your customers will find you.

On-page SEO setup

Page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, schema, sitemap, and image alt text, all done properly at build time.

Domain & hosting setup

Domain, DNS, SSL, and email routing configured and handed over in your name, tested on staging before we go live.

Forms that reach you

Contact and enquiry forms wired to your inbox, with spam filtering that actually holds.

A handover walkthrough

A recorded session showing you how to edit your own pages in Elementor, plus written notes to come back to.

How We Work

The voyage, step by step

01

A deep dive into your business, your goals, and your customers before any design begins.

Discovery

02

We define the direction — sitemap, content structure, and visual brief — so every design choice has a foundation.

Strategy

03

From first wireframe to final code, in close collaboration with you at every stage.

Design & Build

04

We stay with you through launch and after, making sure everything runs as your business grows.

Launch & Beyond

Projects start at $500

Most small business websites land between $500 and $3,500, depending on page count and how ready your content is. Book a call and you will leave with a real number.

After Launch

A website is not finished on
launch day

Software needs updating, content goes stale, and search rankings only move if someone keeps working at them. Both plans are month to month — switch between them or stop whenever you like.

Essentials

Keeps your site safe, current, and easy to tweak. For businesses whose site needs to stay working, not growing.

$50 per month

  • Weekly off-site backups you can roll back to
  • WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates, tested after each one
  • Security and uptime monitoring
  • Two content edits a month — swap copy, change a photo, update your hours

MOST POPULAR

Essentials + Growth

Everything in Essentials, plus the ongoing search work that turns a website into a source of new customers.

$200 per month

  • Everything in Essentials
  • Google Business Profile claimed, filled out, and kept current
  • Monthly keyword research, with on-page updates where the numbers point
  • One blog post a month, written and published for you
  • Google Analytics and Tag Manager set up, with conversion tracking
  • A monthly report on traffic, rankings, and inquiries

Questions

Before you get in touch

How much does a website cost for a small business?

Projects start at $500, and most small business sites land between $500 and $3,500. The range depends on how many pages you need and whether your copy and photography are ready. Either way, you get a fixed quote before any work begins.

Four weeks is typical, from kickoff to launch. Larger sites take longer, and the honest bottleneck is usually content — the faster you can get us copy and photos, the faster you go live.

Yes. Most of our clients are local — shops, studios, and service businesses across San Diego, Irvine, and Anaheim. We meet in person where that helps and work remotely where it does not.

Completely. The code, the domain, and the hosting account are all in your name. If you ever want to move on or hand the site to someone else, nothing is locked to us.

We audit what you have first. Sometimes the right answer is a rebuild, and sometimes it is a handful of fixes to speed, structure, and copy. We will tell you which, including when it is the smaller job.

WordPress with Elementor. It is a deliberate choice: it means you can change your own text and photos whenever you like, and if you ever hand the site to another developer, they will already know their way around it. We keep the build lean and skip the plugin pile-up that makes WordPress sites slow.

No. The site is yours at launch either way. Most clients take Essentials because someone still has to run backups and updates, and Growth if they want the search work to continue after launch. Both are month to month with no contract.

On-page SEO is part of every build: clean structure, fast load times, proper headings, and schema. Ranking beyond that takes ongoing work — keyword research, a claimed Google Business Profile, and regular content — which is what the Growth plan covers.
